Pre-Production AssistantThis role provides assistance to our Production Manager, Pre-Production Manager and Inventory Manager. Your day to day tasks include pulling orders for production, receiving incoming inventory and ensuring inventory counts, scheduling coordination and tracking physical inventory on both our production floor and warehouse. We are fast-paced studio and have over 450 customized parts that you must be willing to get to know and understand their function as part of the whole. Must be able to take direction, be extremely organized and be able to switch gears quickly to meet the demands of production. The ideal candidate has a “no task is below me” attitude and is willing to wear multiple hats.
Senior Design EngineerCandidate with senior level experience to collaborate with our Principal Designer in the execution of technical design of Allied Maker lighting fixtures. Showroom installation coordination, trade-show setup and exhibitions will also be part of the role. It is critical that this candidate thrives on a team and is collaborative in their approach. Must have experience with manual lathes and mills, AutoCAD (Fusion or similar), Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite. We are a fast paced studio that requires someone that adapt and keep an upbeat attitude while being extremely productive.

Manufacturing EngineerWe are gearing up to move into a much bigger and better manufacturing HQ. We are looking for a senior level manufacturing engineer who can advise and coordinate our new set up. We will be installing a new compressor system, spray booths, vacuum system and purchasing a new CNC Lathe and Mill.
International SalesInternational sales manager to act as a liaison to our international clients. This person will be in charge of invoicing and supporting all international clientele; architects, designers and individuals. Communication is key in this role. Must have excellent email rapport. Trade sales experience preferred. The main tasks of this role are quoting, invoicing, managing international showroom relations and also following up with clients after an order is shipped to ensure a safe smooth installation.
Accountants Payable AdministratorExperienced Accounts Payable professional to process incoming and outgoing processing of payments, reconciliation and payroll. The ideal candidate has 5 years of relevant experience in an accounting role. Promptly enter all wire transfers, create purchasing reports for departments, collects balances due on open orders, pay vendors in a timely manner, keeps track of the value of inventory in-house and liaisons with third-party accounting prep firm.
Metal FinisherOur metal finishing department is at the heart of our production process. Metal finishers are responsible for artfully applying patinas to over 450 customized parts for production of over 175 collection pieces. This is an apprentice-based position. You will be trained under our lead finishers on our specific process to achieve 6 patina finishes. These “recipes” must be followed exactly to provide a consistent result. Must be able to take direction. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Lathe experience preferred. Personal safety items that are required are half mask for dust, safety glasses and gloves.
SchedulerOur scheduler is responsible for organizing our incoming production orders into an executable plan with our Production Manager. Our production lead runs from 2-16 weeks depending on the work involved. The ideal candidate understands how to think long-term minded. They will work with our Sales Manager, Sales Assistant and Inventory Manager to ensure on-time delivery for all projects. Collaborative spirit is key is this role. We are a growing studio – growing sales and team members. Must be able to be creative in their approach to planning the schedule to accommodate many different demands on the schedule.
Showroom AssistantProvides assistance to the Showroom Manager with day to day operations of the showroom located in Tribeca, NYC. This person will assist in cultivating client interactions and ensuring accurate information is presented to designers, architects, developers and end users. Polished communication skills are a must. This person will also contribute to merchandising and organization of the showroom floor and resets of the environment.
Facilities TechnicianLooking for a great handyman to maintain our manufacturing HQ in Long Island and our showroom in NYC. Day to day assignments will differ greatly, from spackling and painting walls to assembling new furniture, to installing new lighting in our showroom. The ideal candidate has experience as a handyman and installing lighting fixtures
MachinistOur Machinists create our specialty parts with pride. Must have experience with a manual mill and lathe. CNC experience is a bonus as we're looking to expand our Machining department with new CNC capabilities in late 2018 / early 2019.
Assembly TechnicianOur assemblers masterfully put together our signature lighting fixtures to send to our clients worldwide. This is a hands-on role that requires hand tools to prep sockets and wiring to UL specification and assemble hardware while preventing damage to finished parts. Must have fine motor skills and an attention to detail. Must be able to follow information on our Production Sheets to the smallest detail. Each assembler is responsible for approximately 25-60 fixtures per week, depending on the fixture type and time involved fabricating each. Time management skills are critical.
